Decimal Precision
In Zedi Access, when looking at your sensor data within a Live Data Screen, the decimal point of that number is automatically rounded up to 4 decimal points.
You now have a Decimal Precision option, which allows you to choose the number of decimal points each sensor will read. Giving you the accuracy and detail required on a per sensor basis.
To access this new option:
1. Select Live Data Screen in the Dashboard.
2. In the Live Data Screen, select Edit Layout.
Please Note: If you do not see the Edit Layout option, please contact your companies Zedi Access administrator for permissions or contact Zedi Customer Care.
3. In Edit Layout, select a sensor and select Edit Control.
4. Select Decimal Precision pull down.
5. The user can select display decimal from the available list for Decimal Precision as below. The actual stored value is not changed.

Please Note: that tailing zero might not be shown if there is no rounding for the value.
If this option is unavailable for you please check the following:
Within the Generic Register Details, RTU type has be selected for this update to be applied. It will not work if the register is selected to be Data Entry.
In the Configure Location page, when Edit Sensor has been selected the Data Type must be set to Decimal. It will not show in the live data screen option when sensor’s data type set other types. Please see below.
